Hope Christian Centre in Hobart

Hope Christian Centre is a Christian church situated at 25 Tasma Street, North Hobart. We are a Christian church that represents the community - made up of a variety of ages as well as social, economic and ethnic backgrounds.  We consider ourself a “family of families” and desire to be a community characterised by love, joy and acceptance and peace where each person is actively involved and individually valued.  Only in this way can we truly reflect the One we serve, who “is love” (1 John 4:8)

Our Christian church in Hobart meets together each Sunday at 10 AM and in small home groups at various times during the week. As well we seek to serve the local community, offering a range of activities for most age groups.

Our number one aim, though, is to introduce people to Jesus Christ. He alone is “the way and the truth and the life.”  His invitation is “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (Matthew 11:28,29)

Our church in Hobart takes its responsibility seriously to “equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church…until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord…” (Ephesians 4:12,13)
